Authorities say they arrested actor and TV host Gary Collins on suspicion of drunken driving. According to an arrest report, deputies in the coastal county of Santa Barbara pulled Collins over Saturday evening after noticing him driving a motor home erratically. The 70-year-old was arrested by the California Highway Patrol after failing a field sobriety test. He was later released on $25,000 bail.
Back in January 2008, Collins, 70, served four days in a Glendale, Calif., jail for what was his second DUI conviction at the time.
Collins is currently serving four years probation from that case, stemming from an accident in Los Angeles in October 2007, in which Collins was struck by another driver who later died from his injuries. The former Hour Magazine and Home Show host was not found responsible for the other driver's death.
Records also indicate he was convicted of DUI in 2004 in Malibu. They did not indicate whether he has an attorney.
A rep for Collins wasn't immediately available for comment.
