As the Rupert Turns

On this morning's episode, we read about some very interesting negotiations between News Corp and the man that uncovered evidence phone hacking was not confined to one rogue reporter (News Corp's previous official stance). When you read the details of the negotiations you realize that there is no credible way James Murdoch can claim this settlement wasn't buying the man's silence.

Unfortunately for James, he has already testified under oath to Parliament, and his testimony doesn't square up with the facts (and that's being kind on my part). By now, Rupert must realize that his son isn't going to weasel out of this. The question remains; did Rupert himself know anything, or is he just going to let his own son be the fall guy?

Tune in next week for another exciting episode. This soap opera never seems to run out of twists and turns.
