NPR Fires Producer

From Tom Taylor's column this morning at Radio-Info.com...

"Public radio producer Caitlin Curran loses her gig after participating in Occupy Wall Street. Curran had her picture snapped when she was temporarily holding a sign about mortgage-backed securities designed to fail – and like free lance host Lisa Simeone, she’s out of a job. Curran was a freelance news producer for “The Takeaway”, produced by WNYC New York and Public Radio International. WNYC says The Takeaway has been covering the Occupy Wall Street story from the beginning and that when Curran “made the decision to participate in the protest and make herself part of the story, she violated our ethical standards."

This is a shocking story. There are still radio producers?
