What you see below at first glance looks like a winged divine horse from Greek mythology, more precisely – Pegasus. However, our intuition tells us this possibility is hardly possible. In fact, this funny-looking mutation of antelope and bird is actually a clever optical illusion. So what did originally happen? The animal stumbled upon the bird’s nest and had quickly been shooed away by the protective mother. The bird in question here is an Indian Sarus Crane, the tallest flying bird in the world. Luckily there were some visitors at the Keoladeo National Park (Rajasthan, India), who noticed the animals appeared to blend in to one, and took the photo we now share!

Creative Black and White Illusion by Chema Madoz

Chema Madoz is a Spanish photographer whose work we featured some years ago. Mr. Madoz creates beautiful black and white images that can be looked-at for hours! There are dozens of them available, but few of them contain that illusory atmosphere Remember, none of his photographs were digitally manipulated to create the effect. What I like most about Madoz’s work, is how well he manages to execute the simple ideas. Sometimes we may forget how re-thinking and re-imagining a problem can create such an amazing results. Check out these two photos below… Can you easily spot the illusion they hide?

Ghostly Rainbow Illusion

As Daily Mail reported, a climber in Poland has taken this astonishing photo, of what appears to be a ghostly figure emerging from the morning mist on the side of a mountain. This illusion, which occurred at dawn in the Tatra mountains (Zakopane), is actually what is known as a Broken Spectre phenomenon. It can be easily reproduced.
